Location: Troy, Michigan
The Director of Business Development works to improve an organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. This person builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. It is their job to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization.
A. Meet or exceed individual quotas as defined in the strategic business plan and/or commission plan. B. Become FCRA Basic certified by NAPBS within (3) months of hire date. C. Work as a team to share sales techniques, encourage each other and celebrate wins. D. Responsible for all Implementation documentation for new agreements/accounts. E. Ability to determine potential account action items and produce those in a timely fashion that meets or exceeds the potential client’s expectations. F. Ability to travel as required and attend various approved networking opportunities, conferences, and tradeshows. G. Update and maintain 100% of all activity in CRM. H. Provide the content and coordinate a presence at events including but not limited to SHRM chapter meetings, human resource conferences, and webinars that we attend. I. Continuing personal self-development through training and education. J. Fulfills measurements of success. MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS A. Meet or exceed the booked revenue goals outlined in the commission plan and our strategic business plan. B. Ensure data entered into CRM is 100% accurate and current. C. Successfully complete all assigned action items outlined in the Strategic Business Plan on time and within budget.
A. College degree or 2 years relevant sales experience within the business to business services sector preferred. B. Solutions oriented mentality. C. Adaptability to continuous change. D. The ability to prioritize and/or complete multiple tasks simultaneously. E. Driving record in conformance with insurance carrier’s requirements. F. Ability to travel – 40% local, 30% overnight, including evening events. G. Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within agreed upon time frame. H. Team participation skills as well as the ability to work independently. I. Ability to read and legibly write as well as speak, hear and comprehend the English language. J. Able to fulfill corporate conditions of employment.
